Lanzarote Black Ceramic Stoneware Clay

Lanzarote clay is ideal for modelling pieces with character (ie. rougher texture) or for larger works. Due to its extraordinary plasticity, it is also very suitable for modelling and sculpture. It contains 40% coarser grog (0-0.5 mm) which provides excellent behaviour during drying and firing. It is perfect for hobby ceramics because it has a wide firing range from 1000⁰C to 1300⁰C while developing a beautiful and intense black firing colour at 1200⁰-1260⁰C (cone 5-7) in an oxidising atmosphere making it an exclusive and ideal artistic means of expression.
