Discharge & Devore' Pastes
This Discharge system has a much lower formaldehyde content than some systems on the market. Simply mix with approximately 6% of the discharge catalyst enclosed with each pot to create excellent effects on suitable dyed backgrounds. Instructions enclosed. To make coloured discharge, mix with some of the Adva-Print Concentrated Fabric Colours. Also ideal for colouring water based glues, varnishes etc.
Devore' is a technique whereby patterns are chemically cut away on fabrics made up of cellulose and synthetic or cellulose and protein fibres. This ready-to-use paste can be used on natural/synthetic blends and silk/viscose velvet, giving particularly good results on silk/viscose velvet where the backing is silk (protein) and the pile is viscose (cellulose). When applied, the Devore'paste removes the pile, leaving the backing intact, producing many outstanding effects which can then be tie-dyed, dip died, printed and painted etc.
